Q: You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
A: Click on the home you are interested in then click “Apply For This Unit” and complete the application. Be sure to review the Procedures and Selection Criteria prior to submitting an application.
-
Q: Who needs to fill out an application?
A: Everyone who intends to occupy the property and is 18 years old or older must submit their own application.
-
Q: Do you accept co-signers?
A: We typically do not accept co-signers. Applicants will need to qualify for the property themselves. Application procedures and selection criteria are provided so you can decide whether or not you would like to apply.
-
Q: Can you hold a property once my application is approved?
A: Yes, depending on the property, we can typically hold them for 15-30 days once your application is approved. To do so, we require a holding fee in the amount of one month’s rent to be paid within 48 hours of your application being approved. Once the lease is signed, and you take possession of the property, this fee will be applied towards your security deposit.
-
Q: When do I pay first month’s rent and my security deposit?
A: The first months’ rent and security deposit are owed prior to move-in and must be in the form of money orders or certified check made payable to Florida Pines Realty, LLC. Starting in month two, you will have access to your tenant portal where you can make electronic payments.
-
Q: I want to get a pet. What do I do?
A: All pets must be approved by management and the owner. If approved, you will be required to pay a non-refundable pet fee for each pet.
-
Q: My lease expiration is coming up, how should I give you notice on whether I would like to sign another lease or move out?
A: You will receive either a lease renewal notice or a notice of non-renewal from us 45-60 days prior to the end of your lease. If you receive a lease renewal notice, you will need to select one of the options, sign/date the form and return to our office at least 30 days prior to the expiration of your lease. If you are not renewing your lease or you have received a non-renewal notice, please provide a forwarding address for all future communication and the security deposit disposition to be sent to.
